Hezbollah rocket narrowly misses cars on road when it explodes seconds after they pull over
Footage shows a Hezbollah rocket narrowly missing cars on a road in Israel before exploding seconds after they pull over.
Hezbollah said on September 24 that it had fired multiple rockets into northern Israel at the Ramat David airbase, Meggido airfield, and the Amos base.
But at least one, as can be seen in the footage, appears to have missed its intended target.
The video captures civilian vehicles driving along the road in northern Israel before pulling over to the side. Seconds later, a large explosion occurs as a rocket reportedly strikes the road ahead.
Israeli reports indicate that the footage was filmed in Tamra, in Lower Galilee.
Israel has faced widespread criticism over strikes that resulted in the deadliest day in Lebanon in nearly 20 years.
Tensions are rising between the two countries, with Israel launching a barrage of airstrikes across entire swathes of the country on Monday, with reports saying they are the deadliest attacks since 2006.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that his country is changing 'the balance of power' on its northern front.
The Israeli military reported hitting 1,600 Hezbollah targets and has not ruled out a ground invasion.
Several countries have called for international pressure to de-escalate the situation.
Lebanon's Health Ministry announced on Monday that women, children, and doctors are among the deceased.
It remains unclear how many casualties are civilians and how many are Hezbollah militants, with the Israeli strikes hitting multiple targets in residential neighbourhoods and villages in Lebanon.
The Israeli Chief of Staff, Major General Herzi Halevi, said that operations targeting Hezbollah would increase.
