The 2024 International High Bridge Extreme Sports Invitational Tournament was held in China's Guizhou from Sept. 21 to 24. The tournament attracted 30 extreme sports enthusiasts from 18 countries and regions, including the U.S. and Germany.

The Beipanjiang Bridge on the border of Guizhou and Yunnan provinces is currently the world's highest bridge, sitting about 565 meters above a valley, equivalent to the height of a 200-story building.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): Angela Christa Proudfoot, German athlete
"It's like so incredible to jump off of the world's biggest bridge and there's so much time to fly our parachute through the valley, and it was just so beautiful. I got to run off the platform and leap into the air and then open my parachute and fly down this beautiful valley to the landing area."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English):Kadri Tuglu, Turkish referee
"We decided to organize our championship here. This is the best place, the most suitable place from where we are jumping. I have never seen such high technology and high bridges before in my life."

SOUNDBITE 3 (English):Tim Neschen, German athlete
"You have like way more room. Usually in Europe, we jump like 100 meters bridges or something. You don't have too much room for going along delay. But here with this high bridge, you can go for 4 to 5 seconds free fall."
