On September 15, an unusual and potentially disastrous incident occurred at an intersection in Suzhou, southern China. A senior citizen, disregarding the flashing red light, boldly ventured across the street as a black sedan, traveling through the intersection on a green light, approached for an overtaking maneuver.

The driver of the sedan, upon spotting the elderly pedestrian, reacted swiftly, executing an emergency evasion maneuver. Tragically, this evasive action led to the car colliding with a traffic light pole at the junction, causing the vehicle to "stand" upright in an astonishing display.

The aftermath of the collision was severe, with the sedan sustaining significant damage. The front hood of the car was propelled upwards, airbags deployed, and vehicle components scattered across the scene, painting a chaotic picture. Miraculously, however, the occupants of the vehicle emerged unscathed.

Promptly, traffic police arrived at the scene to manage the situation, conducting an investigation into the accident while simultaneously directing traffic flow to ensure the safety of other motorists and pedestrians.

As of now, the incident remains under further investigation and processing by the relevant authorities.
