The third Global Digital Trade Expo gets underway in China's Hangzhou.
Gamers were lining up at the expo to try out the Chinese hit video game "Black Myth: Wukong."
Considered the first Chinese-developed "Triple-A" title, the game draws inspiration from the classic Chinese novel, "Journey to the West."
Within just three days of the game's August launch, sales skyrocketed to over 10 million copies across all platforms.
An increasing array of Chinese games are making their mark on the global stage, propelled by growth in digital trade. China's digital industry has seen robust expansion in recent years, reporting total revenue of 32.5 trillion yuan in 2023.
Riding on this digital boom, China's gaming industry is increasingly capturing the attention of the global market. Chinese culture, which provides significant spiritual connotations and background content for games, is also attracting interest on the world stage.
