Chicago, United States - September 17, 2024

In a viral video that has sent shockwaves through the travel community, TikTok user Mondayswithmohan has detailed what he describes as "the worst first class cabin experience" on a $63,100 one-way flight from Chicago to Delhi via Air India. The video, posted on September 17, 2024, has amassed thousands of views, as viewers express disbelief over the conditions described.

Mohan, who documented his journey, painted a grim picture of the luxury supposed to accompany a first-class ticket. "This is beyond regular wear and tear," he exclaimed, highlighting hair, moving objects in compartments, and mildew on various amenities including headphones and pillows. "Everything was ripped, ruined," he added, showcasing the substandard state of the cabin's interior.

Despite a collaboration with Ferragamo for some amenities, which Mohan noted as "decent," the overall service left much to be desired. He criticized the cold, supposedly warm towels, and the disorganized serving of meals, which lacked even basic table settings at first.

The food menu, initially promising, was a letdown with limited availability, forcing passengers to settle for whatever was left. "Only one of each item for four passengers," Mohan pointed out, emphasizing the first-come-first-serve nature of the meal service.

Perhaps the most disappointing for a 15-hour flight was the non-functional entertainment system. "No WiFi, no entertainment," Mohan lamented, indicating that despite multiple attempts by the crew to reset the system, it remained broken throughout the journey.

Mohan's video not only captures the physical decay of the first-class cabin but also reflects on the broader issues of service quality and maintenance in premium air travel. "I wrong dogged this flight," he concluded, using internet slang to express his regret over choosing this particular airline for his journey.
