West Bank - September 25, 2024

In a sweeping operation aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructures, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), along with Shin Bet and Border Police, have conducted one of the largest anti-terrorism operations in Jenin and the broader West Bank region in recent months. This operation, part of a strategic campaign against terror in northern Samaria, has led to the arrest of 57 suspects, the seizure of significant weapons caches, and the dismantling of explosives.

The operation, which unfolded over the last 24 hours, targeted several key areas within Jenin under the coordination of the Menashe Regional Brigade. Forces arrested four wanted individuals following Shin Bet intelligence, discovered observation posts rigged with explosives, and neutralized road-embedded bombs, along with confiscating a variety of combat equipment.

This intense crackdown was not limited to Jenin alone. Operations continued across the West Bank, leading to the arrest of an additional 22 suspects through the night. In the Ephraim region villages of Zufa and Jamma'in, two rifles and eleven explosives were seized and destroyed. Further south, in Beit Ummar, three weapons were confiscated, and in Dora, another firearm was secured.

The week's activities culminated in the arrest of 57 suspects across Judea and Samaria, where forces also seized 100,000 shekels in terror funds, ten firearms, military gear, and other combat materials. This operation marks a significant escalation in Israel's efforts to combat terror, especially in light of the ongoing conflict.

Since the beginning of the conflict, over 5,250 individuals have been detained across Central Command jurisdictions, with more than 2,050 linked to Hamas, showcasing the breadth and depth of Israel's security measures in the region.
