The situation came to light when the victim's family noticed discrepancies in her possessions and reported the matter. This led to an investigation by the Civil Guard, resulting in the arrest of the caregiver. Some of the stolen jewelry was recovered, having been sold for 730 euros in San Juan de Aznalfarache.
