Brazil: Buffalo Takes A Dip In Pool During Heatwave
Oliveira, Brazil - September 24, 2024
This is the udder chaos moment a wild buffalo strays into a private country club to cool off from a 35-degree Celsius heatwave.
The buffalo had made straight for the open-air pool at the members-only club in Oliveira, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, on 24th September.
Stumped staff called in firefighters after failing to get the three-quarter tonne beast out of the six-foot-deep water.
Video footage of the pool that emerged on Instagram shows the buffalo mooing loudly as it swims in the posh pool.
A team of rescue specialists used heavy-duty winching gear to lift the animal safely out of the water and back to dry land.
Local media reports that after health checks the buffalo was returned to its owner at a nearby ranch.
