On September 26, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the Line Fire flared up in Running Springs at the Snow Valley Ski Resort. This area is the Incident Command Center for the line fire operation.
The fire is within containment lines. Here is the latest update-
The fire line in Bear Creek drainage made significant runs yesterday into late last night. It is in a portion with an open line in a steep, inaccessible area.
It’s pushing out of the Bear Creek drainage and has been doing it for a few days. There is still a lot of unburned fuel, and nothing is threatened at this time. The incident has aircraft assigned and overhead, and the fire is still within containment lines.
