"Now we are at the Youyi Port in Pingxiang City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. What I have in my hand is a dragon fruit that was just imported from Vietnam. It is (one of) the most popular ASEAN fruits of the season."
The Youyi Pass, located on the border of China and Vietnam, is an important land route for Southeast Asian fruits to enter China.
In 2023, a total of 23.92 billion yuan (3.4 billion U.S. dollars) of fruits were imported through the port, at an increase of 262.9 percent year on year.
