SOUNDBITE 1 (Hungarian): LASZLO KOVER, Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly
"China has achieved development in recent decades that the world admires. It has also strengthened its position within the framework of international cooperation, as the People's Republic of China plays an increasingly significant role. Speaking of trade relations, China is our most important trading partner outside of Europe and ranks ninth overall. We also see that the connections between peoples are growing, whether in the fields of science, student exchanges, or tourism. And these opportunities for cooperation are expanding, which is undoubtedly advantageous for Hungary. I believe that although Hungary may not be the largest or most economically significant among China's European partners, we can set an example for others in terms of the credibility of our cooperation and mutual respect. I think that this partnership and cooperation brings great joy to the parties involved in the future."
