"Now, I'm at the entrance to the natural ice cave located in Ningwu County, north China's Shanxi Province. This cave is believed to have formed about 3 million years ago, making it a geological wonder in this warm temperate zone. In just a few seconds, I'll be stepping from the heat into a natural refrigerator. Are you ready for this? Let's head inside!"
STANDUP 2 (English): JIANG HAORAN, Xinhua correspondent
"Now, I'm inside the cave, and it's already much cooler in here. Look at the ice around us. It's about only 13 degrees Celsius.
Wow! Look at the ice formations around us! These are some of the first you'll encounter upon entering the ice cave. The ice is crystal clear and seems to shimmer under the dim light, creating a magical atmosphere. So, how did the three million-year-old ice cave form? That's still a bit of a mystery.
Now, I'm reaching the deepest point accessible in the ice cave. The temperature is getting even lower and it's about minus one degree (Celsius). Wow! The icicles and ice formations are just incredible here. It's like a window. This side. They look like jellyfish dancing. The small ones look like grapes."
STANDUP 3 (English): JIANG HAORAN, Xinhua correspondent
The three million-year-old ice cave is a testament to the power and beauty of nature, and while many questions remain unanswered, it's a place that continues to captivate and inspire.
