STORYLINE:
China's CRRC Corporation Limited unveiled its hydrogen-powered train, the "CINOVA H2," at the 2024 InnoTrans in Berlin that concluded on Friday.
The train can reach a speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour (km/h) with zero-emission.
This train can travel up to 1,200 km on a full hydrogen tank at a cruising speed of 160 km/h, carrying over 1,000 passengers.
The "CINOVA H2," with a hydrogen consumption of less than 0.3 grams per passenger per km, is projected to reduce carbon emissions by 730 tonnes annually, based on an estimated operating distance of 300,000 km each year.
