On September 30, 2024, a fire broke out in the Seliger City residential complex in Moscow, Russia, affecting apartments on the fifth to eighth floors. The blaze resulted in one death and two injuries. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by the ignition of gas cylinders in an apartment undergoing renovation, where workers had been bringing in the cylinders during the day for the installation of a suspended ceiling.
