Corvette owner walks up to his car to find 'would-be thief' locked inside
An alleged car thief got trapped inside a Corvette - forcing him to beg with the owner: ‘Can I get out?'
Julio Solano, 34, was getting his morning coffee when he walked back to his car and a parking attendant told him there was someone in his car.
He thought he was joking.
But when he got to his car parked on Washington Avenue and 16th Street in Miami Beach, Florida, he found a man inside.
In the video, Julio can be heard saying "My brother, this is not your car, this is my car."
The apparent intruder pleads with Julio to let him out.
Julio, a real estate investor, from Miami Beach, said: "I was completely shocked."
"I was trying to stay calm at the same time, I knew he couldn't start the car."
"I figured he was trapped so I stayed calm and collected."
Miami Beach Police arrived on the scene within three minutes and a man was arrested and faces burglary charges.
He is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was set at $2,500.
The alleged break in happened on September 17, 2024.
