This is the creepy moment a family finds a spycam in the bathroom four years after moving into their flat.

The footage, filmed in Praia Grande in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, shows the hidden camera they discovered while changing a lightbulb in their toilet.

Angelica Bitu said she lived on the property with her husband and son, and after the discovery, they wanted to move out as soon as possible.

They inspected the entire flat from top to bottom. While they found no other cameras, she said they still felt unsafe.

Angelica said: 'I don't feel comfortable anymore. I know it sounds silly, but I have that feeling that I'm being watched, even though I know there's nothing else there.'

The family is unsure if the equipment recorded them during their time in the bathroom.

But she said: 'I feel very disgusted, disgusted to imagine what a sick person could be doing with images of us.'

Angelica confirmed that they are now searching for a new place but are struggling to afford a deposit due to skyrocketing rents in the city.

She added: 'Although we really want to, we can't afford to leave with the deposit to rent another place being so high.

'We are planning ahead; we are going to try to save whatever we can to save up the money.'

Vinicius Vaz, owner of a security consulting and training company, explained that the camera model found by the family allows live broadcasts as long as there is an internet connection or a memory card on which to store data.

The expert noted that if data was being stored locally on the device, then its owner most likely had regular access to the flat to access the data.

Angelica expressed feelings of violation: 'I was scared because I didn't know if the images would go somewhere and if someone was watching us.

'I changed my baby under that lamp many times. It was very shocking and very sad.'

The tenant said she contacted the property owner after discovering the hidden device, stressing that she did not believe the owner was responsible for installing it.

She noted that the owner was 'shocked' upon being informed: 'When she bought this apartment, she didn't even stay there properly and already put it up for rent. I am the first permanent tenant.'

It is currently unclear whether the family has filed a complaint with the police or if an investigation is underway.
