Digitalization reshapes construction in China

(Voice_over)

China's construction industry is undergoing a digital transformation with more companies using digital twin technology and augmented reality.

Digital twins are virtual replicas of physical assets, like buildings, infrastructure, or entire construction projects.

The virtual model is identical to its real-world counterpart both in structure and behavior, capturing real-time data for simulations, analysis, and optimization processes.

An engineering contractor firm in Beijing is using digital twin technology in many of its projects.

Every brick, tile and pillar, along with every colorful painting, will be included in the digital model.
