Drone images show a lorry which has become stuck in a narrow village lane - for nearly three days.

The road haulage truck from Boons Transport based in Peterborough got stuck in Forder in Saltash on Monday.

It was delivering seed to a farm but apparently missed the entrance and despite a 'no heavy goods vehicle' sign on the road, continued down the narrow lane.

An 80-tonne crane is due at the scene today to remove it.

The truck's load of seed is being removed by a forklift tractor ahead of the lift.

Power cables above the location will also have to be removed to gain access to the trailer and cab before it can be removed.

Devon and Cornwall Police said surrounding roads were closed on Wednesday as crews attempted to recover the vehicle.

A lorry became stuck in the same location in 2007 requiring a crane to lift it out.

One local said: said: "Having a lorry stuck in the road here every 16 years is probably the most interesting thing that happens here."

Another said: ''Last time it was a smaller lorry. This one, I think, is much bigger."
