In the heart of the night, under the shadow of towering flames and dense smoke, the Los Angeles County Fire Department's (LACoFD) Camp 2 team faced one of their most challenging battles yet. The Line Fire has now scorched over 43,000 acres of primarily forest land in the San Bernardino National Forest.

Firefighters from LACoFD's Camp 2 spent a long, arduous night combating the blaze.

The Angelus Oaks community, nestled amidst the forest, was under direct threat as the Line Fire, driven by unpredictable winds and dry conditions, continued its destructive path. The efforts of Camp 2 were crucial in preventing the fire from breaching further into residential areas.

As dawn broke, the situation showed slight improvement, thanks to the overnight efforts. Fire lines held, and the fire's momentum seemed to wane in some sectors, though the overall threat remained significant. The Line Fire, one of the season's most devastating wildfires.
