Romania: Police seize 16 tonnes of frozen fruit pulp containing cocaine from Ecuador
Constanța, Romania - September 24, 2024
This is the moment Romanian undercover cops chase and seize 16 tons of frozen fruit pulp with cocaine from Ecuador at a Romanian port.
The operation with the code name ‘EXOTIC’ took place from 18th till 23rd September with the main part carried out at the Port of Constanța in Romania.
Police video shows a forklift loading barrels into a freezer truck at the port for further transport.
Then the truck with barrels leaves the port area, and the police begin their pursuit and detain the truck.
Police officers open the truck, open the barrels, check, and take samples of the frozen fruit mass for further drug testing.
At the end of the footage, the suspects can be seen being detained.
The images were obtained from the Romanian Police, along with a statement saying: "Romanian Police and the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) found cocaine in 16 tonnes of frozen fruit pulp.
