This is the moment an elderly scooter rider smashes into a restaurant, narrowly missing a female owner.

Footage shows a young woman carrying groceries into a restaurant for the kitchen when a motorbike suddenly crashes after her in Guangdong, China, on September 22.

The speeding bike ridden by an out-of-control rider came through the entrance where she had been seconds before and smashed through the tables and chairs before crashing against the counter she had recently disappeared behind.

The woman was the restaurant's owner. After helping him off the bike and taking it back out onto the street, she told him that she would not be charging any compensation as no serious damage had been done to her restaurant beyond a dent in the counter and one broken table.

She said she was just happy that he was okay after apparently accelerating and forgetting where the break was as he panicked.
