A grass strimmer burst into flames while residents refilled it with petrol.

CCTV footage shows one of the men pouring fuel while two others held it in place in the garden in Songkhla, Thailand, on September 27.

A blaze erupted from the plastic tank and the flames spread across the gardening device and also onto a nearby bamboo table.

The groups quickly fled and returned to douse the fire with water. It was extinguished in under a minute.

No one was seriously hurt, but the local who held the petrol bottle suffered minor burns. He was seen dipping his arms in a bucket filled with water when the fire was out.

Heavy-duty strimmers, like the tool in the video, have robust blades that are designed for heavy-duty cutting. They are suitable for clearing overgrown fields, dense brush, and large areas with thicker vegetation.

Trimmers are used for lighter work such as tidying up lawns, edges, and small areas with weeds.
