US, Los Angeles: Lake Piru Felicia Fire

10/03/2024 01:12 pm (GMT-0700) | LAKE PIRU, VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – Firefighters responded to a reported 5-acre brush fire that was immediately upgraded to a second alarm. The fire was burning uphill at a rapid rate of spread per units arriving on the scene.
According to VC Emergency, an official Ventura County information source, the fire was reported at 15 acres at 1:50 p.m. with 0% containment.
At 1 p.m., an evacuation order was issued for all areas of Lake Piru Recreation area, including Dominguez Canyon.
Road closures have been issued for both directions of Piru Canyon Road, from the Piru community north to Lake Piru.
This fire has been dubbed the "Felicia Fire."
