Typhoon Krathon battered homes with wind and rain in Taiwan.

Footage shows swaying trees amid the heavy downpour in Kaohsiung City on Thursday, October 3.

Residents have experienced severe windstorms and rainfall since Typhoon Krathon made landfall in the country, with maximum sustained winds of 173 kph (107.5 mph) and gusts of up to 209 kph (129.9 mph).

The storm previously displaced 77,000 individuals in the Philippines. In Taiwan, the fire department reported two people dead, one missing, and 667 injured. Thousands of families have been evacuated.
