Huge jam of tourists as 100,000 visit Great Wall of China during national holiday
On October 3, the third day of the National Day holiday, large crowds gathered at the Badaling section of the Great Wall, leading to congestion. It is expected that October 3 and 4 will be peak days for visitors, with daily numbers projected to reach 100,000.
According to the Ministry of Transport, this year’s National Day holiday travel will mainly consist of tourism and visits to family, with an estimated 1.94 billion trips nationwide during the holiday period, averaging 277 million trips per day.
