Mexico - October 1, 2024

This is the bizarre moment when two customs officers have to be rescued after their truck inexplicably drove into the sea.
The incident occurred in the Gulf of Mexico at the Port of Veracruz, Mexico, on 1st October.

Surveillance camera footage shows a truck slowly moving to the edge of the port and, without stopping, driving straight into the water and slowly starting to sink.

The truck's momentum keeps it moving out into the water with its flashing lights on, and other port workers run to the edge of the pier after witnessing the accident.

Two men can be seen climbing out of the sinking car through the front door windows and climbing onto the roof and rear of the truck.
A port worker can be seen throwing them a lifebuoy, while other workers have attached a rope to the machine and are seen pulling it to the edge of the pier.

When the car came closest to the concrete edge of the pier, the men got out of the sinking car.
It is reported that the driver lost control for unknown reasons, and this caused the accident. However, local authorities have not yet made an official statement.
