Occurred on September 26, 2024 / Port San Luis, California, USA

Info from Licensor: "In 2014, weather thwarted our plans to scatter my father-in-law Frank’s ashes out of Port San Luis. He spent 31 years teaching agriculture at Cal Poly. His practical widow, Wanda, suggested we hold onto Frank’s ashes until she died so we could scatter them both. On September 26, 2024, we finally set sail to fulfill their wishes. Our captain, also named Frank, spotted whales in the distance. Moments later, a humpback whale blasted from the water just feet from our boat. In this magical moment, we stopped, cranked Frank and Wanda’s favorite song, 'Ring of Fire,' and scattered their ashes. We felt their presence and knew they would have loved the whale of a send off."
