US, Los Angeles: Sepulveda Basin Car Left Burning After Street Takeover

10/05/2024 03:38 am (GMT-0700) | SEPULVEDA BASIN, LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles police officers responded to a vehicle fire left behind by participants of an illegal street takeover.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Burbank Boulevard and Woodley Avenue. Initially, firefighters had issues accessing the vehicle due to a large number of cars blocking the roadway.
The large crowd dispersed and firefighters were able to access the vehicle. The flames were quickly knocked down. Another car was abandoned several feet away with a missing rear tire, possibly from burnouts. No injuries were reported.
