This is the hilarious moment a giant panda becomes frustrated with a round rubber toy as he tries to wear it around his ear like an earring but it keeps falling off.

The eight-year-old male panda Zhui was seemingly trying to look presentable for visitors at the Moscow Zoo in Russia.

He quickly became annoyed as the toy repeatedly slipped off his ear.

Footage from the zoo's general director, Svetlana Akulova, recorded on October 2, shows Zhui chewing on the toy in frustration.

After several failed attempts to place it on his left ear, he tried his right ear but could not manage to keep it on. His irritation grew as the toy slipped from his grasp and landed on the floor. Zhui then picked it up and rolled over, amusing adults and children watching nearby.

As the rubber will not budge despite his further efforts to widen the ring-shaped toy, Zhui eventually quits and leaves it behind as he rolls over again, exiting in Kung Fu Panda style.

The general director said: 'In the mood to play with a little ring.'

Three pandas live in the Moscow Zoo now: Zhui, Ding Ding, and their daughter Katyusha.

Pandas Zhui and Ding Ding came to the Moscow Zoo in 2019 from Sichuan Province, China. The bears will stay there for 15 years.

The Moscow Zoo's keepers systematically travel to China, where specialists teach them how to care for their pandas properly.

Keepers need to comply with all the conditions of their Chinese colleagues, who regularly come for inspections. They monitor the layout of enclosures and the installation of engineering systems and give recommendations.
