Thai police caught a python in a family's home and dragged it to the street.

The three officers rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call about a reptile that intruded a resident's front porch in Yala province, Thailand, on October 3 at 5:30 am.

Footage shows the team helping each other pull the animal using a metal rod. One of them held a torch on the snake while two others pull it off the house.

They captured the python under a table and evacuated it outside before carrying it to their truck.

Police Captain Akkaradech Kaewseeyong said: ‘We received a call from 191 hotline requesting help to catch a python. We went there and did our job.'

The python weighed 2.8 st (18kg) and was 13ft (4 metres) long. It was released back to its habitat in the morning.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where it lives in forests, swamps, canals, and even cities, causing conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats, and other snakes.
