San Diego, United States - October 03, 2024

In a harrowing sequence of events early morning on October 3rd in the Rochester area, a routine traffic observation escalated into a dangerous high-speed chase when a Nissan 350z, lacking license plates, attempted to evade law enforcement. The pursuit, which reached speeds of 130mph on Highway 12, turned critical when the fleeing vehicle spun out on Sargent Rd.

In a dramatic turn, the driver, after losing control, collided head-on with a Thurston deputy's vehicle. The situation worsened when, instead of complying with the deputy's commands to show his hands, the driver responded with defiance and fled on foot.

K9 Igo and his handler were swiftly deployed, tracking the suspect into dense woods. Despite clear warnings, it was only after K9 Igo engaged that the driver finally ceased his escape.

The driver was medically evaluated and subsequently booked into TCSO jail on charges of driving on a suspended license and attempting to elude, among others. The deputy involved in the crash received immediate medical attention but fortunately sustained no life-threatening injuries.
