In a high-stakes rescue operation that unfolded 50 miles off the scenic Cape Kumukahi, Hawaii, the U.S. Coast Guard executed a daring medical evacuation from the cruise ship Crown Princess early on October 5, 2024.

The operation, led by an adept MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, saw two men, both suffering from severe medical conditions, airlifted to safety in separate missions.
