US, Los Angeles: Brentwood Driver Flees After Rollover Crash on 405 Freeway Wilshire Off Ramp

10/06/2024 09:51 pm (GMT-0700) | BRENTWOOD, LOS ANGELES – The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to an overturned vehicle that crashed on the southbound 405 Freeway to the eastbound Wilshire Boulevard off-ramp.
LAFD and CHP received reports that the vehicle was on fire. Upon arrival, they found one SUV on its side with fire showing. Firefighters quickly doused the flames.
According to a spokesperson for the CHP West Los Angeles Area office, the driver of the rolled-over 2001 Chevy Silverado truck had fled. No one was found at the scene, and there were no witnesses. The vehicle was not reported stolen.
The southbound 405 off-ramp at Wilshire Boulevard was closed for an unknown duration.
The investigation is ongoing.
