A dog with a severe neck injury caused by a tin can was rescued and treated in central India’s Madhya Pradesh. Dedicated animal rescuers, including Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, worked tirelessly to save the dog’s life.

The incident took place near Central Academy School in Shahdol on October 8.

Visuals showed a distressed dog was found with a tin can tightly stuck around its neck, causing a deep, painful wound. The rescue team arrived promptly, equipped with tools and determination. They carefully approached the frightened animal, speaking softly to reassure it. With precision, they cut through the can, freeing the dog from its constricting grip. The team gently examined the wound, showing compassion and urgency as they prepared to treat the injury, ensuring the dog received the care it desperately needed.

After several attempts, a rescue team led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, founder of Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, successfully controlled the dog and carefully cut off the can. The dog’s neck had developed a deep, decayed wound, which was immediately treated.

The rescue, which lasted from 1:43 PM to 2:34 PM, was supported by animal welfare volunteers Prakash Sen and Santosh Kataria. Their swift action ensured the swan received the critical care needed to prevent further infection and suffering. Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, known for its animal rescue efforts, took charge of the swan’s recovery, ensuring it would receive proper treatment and rehabilitation.
