Firefighters extinguish burning wreckage of helicopter after it crashed in eastern China
On October 8 at noon in Xuchang, Henan Province, a helicopter crashed onto an open field, with the aircraft catching fire, creating a dangerous situation. Firefighters promptly extinguished the flames and secured the area to prevent further incidents.
It was confirmed that only the pilot was aboard the helicopter at the time of the crash. The pilot sustained multiple fractures during the fall but fortunately is not in life-threatening condition. The injured pilot has since received medical attention, and their condition is stable.
Authorities are currently investigating the specific cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that the helicopter may have struck high-voltage power lines due to pilot error during low-altitude flight, leading to the loss of control and the crash.
Additionally, there are reports that the small aircraft may not have been properly authorised, and the police are investigating the matter.
