Footage shows two surf skaters realising their dream of skating under a stunning aurora.

This footage was captured in Höfðingjabali, on October 6.

The filmer said they had the help of videographer Olivier Staiger, an expert aurora hunter.

They travelled with swiss expert aurorahunter , stormchaser and photo- videographer Olivier Staiger to Iceland specifically with the goal to surfskate under the aurora borealis.

During their trip they saw the northern lights every night, thanks to the guide's weather knowledge and travel strategy..

On the first day some small aurora was already briefly seen at KEF airport.

The following night , in southern Iceland east of Hvolsvöllur , big bright aurora was visible and they rode their surfskate boards with luminous wheels.

Videographer Olivier Staiger has travelled over 20 times to Iceland and Scandinavia, even during the pandemic, and always sees aurora on most nights, if not every single night, thanks to his weather and spaceweather knowledge and weather-based travel strategy. .
