Young woman seen negotiating busy junction on electric suitcase
A young woman was seen dangerously negotiating a busy junction while riding an electric suitcase.
Footage shows the traveller weaving through traffic on a wet road sitting on the motorised luggage in Bangkok, Thailand on October 3.
She had a smaller bag on her lap and a jacket as she cut through motorcycle riders who were making a turn.
Shocked onlooker Apiwan Sudsangkew who was in another vehicle when and saw the woman said: ‘She should be really careful if she wishes to use that bag as a modern vehicle.'
Electric suitcases with non-removable lithium-ion batteries have been banned in airports in several countries, including Japan, for safety reasons. Transport chiefs have also raised concerns about them being used on public roads.
Lithium-ion batteries can also catch fire or explode, especially when damaged or exposed to certain conditions.
Last month, a tourist was seen riding a similar case through traffic on the way to Don Mueang International Airport, moving across lanes behind a large bus.
