US, Los Angeles: Pomona Fatal Mobile Home Fire
Los Angeles, United States - October 08, 2024
10/08/2024 10:24 pm (GMT-0700) | POMONA, Calif. – Pomona PD and LACoFD received multiple 911 calls of a mobile home on fire on the 1700 block of East Mission Boulevard in the city of Pomona.
Once officers and firefighters arrived at the scene, they located a mobile home to the rear of the complex with heavy smoking and fire showing and spreading to other mobile homes.
Pomona PD and LACoFD received additional 911 calls regarding two elderly people possibly trapped inside one of the mobile homes. An elderly female was able to escape the fire.
The female was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital with burns to her face and hands. A second victim, a possible elderly male, was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters.
LACoFD has requested an arson team to respond to the scene and assist in investigating the fatal mobile home fire. Unknown at this time how the fire started.
Family members started to arrive at the scene.
