Don't look down! High-rise window cleaner has lunch break at 600ft
A high-rise window cleaner ate his lunch while hanging 600ft above the ground on a skyscraper.
Footage shows the worker Khamkoon Tatirat, 20, taking spoonfuls of his spicy fried rice meal during a break in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 18.
Khamkoon, who has been a certified cleaner for a year, did not seem to mind the stomach-churning height and enjoyed his food, as climbing down would have taken too much time.
He was suspended in the air, sitting on a platform attached to ropes while a harness wrapped around his stomach.
The skyscraper Abdulrahim Place, which towers 614ft (187 metres), was seen behind him, indicating how far up he and a colleague had reached when they took a lunch break.
His friend Phatthakon said: ‘He has only been doing this for a year and is already very good. Any height is no match for him.'
Like in many other major cities, high-rise window cleaning in Bangkok requires professional training and certification due to the risks involved in working at such heights.
