A resident walked through a coastal town that is perennially flooded in the Philippines.

Footage shows local Van Kim Gabato wading through ankle-deep deluge in Bohol province, the Philippines, on October 10. He joined his friends outside in the street.

The village is on an island in the eastern part of the archipelago where high tides, even in summer, cause seawater to flow into homes.

During high tide, the tiny island with a little more than 800 residents, is submerged up to waist-deep as seawater reaches the homes. Fish can even be seen swimming through the doors.
