In a heart-stopping adventure that ended on a high note today, an intrepid hiker and her faithful canine companion were rescued from the perilous heights of Cima degli Orsi, a daunting 2,100 meters above sea level. The duo found themselves in a precarious situation, stranded and in need of urgent help, prompting an aerial rescue operation by the Malpensa Fire Department's elite helicopter rescue team.
The rescue was fraught with challenges, given the altitude and the inherent risks of mountain rescues. However, the skilled team of elisoccorritori (helicopter rescuers) from Malpensa, known for their daring and precision, swiftly mobilized to the scene. Despite the daunting conditions, the rescuers managed to locate the hiker and her dog, bringing both safely back to lower ground.
