The strike has resulted in at least 22 deaths and 117 injuries, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry.
Lebanese sources also reported that Israeli warplanes launched 16 raids in southern Lebanon and nine more in eastern Lebanon on Thursday, leaving 21 dead and 41 injured.
The total number of displaced people in Lebanon due to Israeli airstrikes has risen to nearly 1.2 million, according to a report recently released by Lebanese authority.
In Beirut, many displaced Lebanese had to seek shelter on the streets.
SOUNDBITE (Arabic): KHALED HAMADEH, Political analyst
"The situation is open to all possibilities. The possibility of more violence still exists if the Israeli army continues its strikes not only on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, but also on different regions of Lebanon. The political compromise does not seem to be ready."
