Cheeky tot caught on camera pretending to cry to steal a hug from dad
This is the moment a cheeky one-year-old was caught on camera pretending to cry to steal hugs from her dad.
Parents Toni Matthews, 29, and Taro Bishop, 34, have noticed their youngest daughter becomes particularly jealous when anyone gets attention from her dad.
As an experiment they then decided to capture the tot's antics on camera.
Video shows Taro and Toni hugging to see if River Rue Bishop, 21 months old, react.
Immediately the tot begins to "cry" to get a hug from her dad. "
Toni, a stay-at-home mum from north Devon, said: "She has mastered the act of fake crying."
"If me and Taro hug, kiss, hold hands or even talk on the phone she either runs over and cries until he picks her up."
"Or she'll throw herself on the floor, or shout ‘Dada' until he acknowledges her. "
"However there are definitely times that she includes me too by putting her arm around me also or something similar."
Dad Taro welcomes the love and mum Toni finds it very cute.
Toni said: "We tend to laugh but also just say things like 'River it's ok, daddy can hug mummy too' but she tends to shout 'no'!"
"But as I said, on occasion she'll include me. "
"I think we're always surprised by the things she does. She's full of character and her acting skills get better everyday. "
"She's so loving to all of her family but no one quite compares to her daddy."
