US: Justice For Mario Gonzalez Rally in Oakland

Family, friends and supporters of Mario Gonzalez gathered outside the California Superior Courthouse in Oakland to once again protest the handling of the case against the police officers accused of killing Mario.
Mario Gonzalez was killed on April 19, 2021, by Alameda Police, while they were conducting a wellness check. While Mario was complying and handcuffed, laying on his stomach, 3 Alameda police officers and a passerby piled on top of him, suffocating him until his death.
Although Alameda County DA has filed charges against the officers that participated that day, the case is in danger of being entirely dismissed, allowing all those involved with the death of Mario Gonzalez to go free AND keep their jobs as Alameda Police Officers.
Today a decision is expected to be made in California Superior Court to determine the future of the case. Supporters were not hopeful it would go their way.
