Residents were evacuated from their homes flooded by Hurricane Milton in Florida, USA.

Footage shows firefighters assisting people onto boats in Clearwater City on October 10.

A fire department spokesman said: 'The Clearwater Police Department, alongside Clearwater fire and rescue, Pinellas Sheriff, MyFWC, and other agencies, are currently assisting in evacuating hundreds of people from their flooded apartment complex.'

Hurricane Milton slammed into Siesta Key, Florida as a Category 3 storm on October 9.

It killed at least 17 people in Florida and knocked out power to millions in the state.

Milton struck as residents were still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Helene just two weeks earlier.
