These images show helicopter pilots scooping up big amounts of water to help battle a massive wildfire consuming the steppes.

The fire initially started in the Karaganda region in Kazakhstan on 6th October when dry grass caught aflame near the village of Koyandy.
But it soon spread to the Pavlodar region, reaching the territory of Bayanaul National Park.

The fire has reportedly spread over an area covering more than 3,000 hectares (7,413 acres).

According to officials, the firefighting efforts are complicated by strong gusty winds, mountainous terrain, and the lack of accessible roads.
