Chimney Rock, United States - October 10, 2024

In a display of immediate response and military precision, active-duty Soldiers from the renowned 101st Airborne Division based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, have descended upon Chimney Rock, North Carolina, to aid in the recovery efforts following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene.

On October 10, 2024, these Screaming Eagles, known for their swift and effective action, have taken on the monumental task of clearing out the mud and debris that have overwhelmed homes and businesses along the Broad River. The flooding, triggered by the hurricane, not only submerged properties but also brought down essential utility poles, leaving the community in disarray.

Staff Sgt. Kyle Clark, an infantryman with the 101st, provided insights during a working interview captured on B-Roll footage. "We're here to help the community get back on its feet," Clark stated, emphasizing the unit's commitment to disaster relief. "Every bit of debris we clear, every home we help clean out, brings the community one step closer to recovery."
