Hero customers tackle suspected hired thugs in cafe
This is the dramatic moment hero customers foiled suspected thugs at a cafe in Thailand.
Kitti Saengkrit, 44, was sipping coffee when three masked men suddenly ganged up on him unprovoked at the shop in Ratchaburi province on October 8.
CCTV footage shows Kitti, seen in the video with bleached hair and a red tropical shirt, being beaten by the alleged gangsters.
However, the lanky youths were forced to flee when the burly man began fighting back and overpowered them.
Two of the three suspects fled on a motorcycle, while a furious Kitti caught the third alleged attacker and restrained him in a headlock. He hauled the youngster to the Ban Pong Police Station to file a complaint.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Phasit Chulthakan, an investigator at the Ban Pong Police Station, said they have received a report about the cafe attack.
He said: 'We have obtained CCTV evidence from the shop and are now investigating the case.'
Kitti claimed he did not know the alleged thugs.
He said: 'The man I caught said someone had hired him to attack me. I don't know who it was, but I can only think of one person with a grudge against me - an amulet vendor whom I have fought with in the past.
'That is all I will say. I will let the police investigate the facts and expand the investigation. They already have the CCTV footage and videos from many witnesses who saw the incident.'
The alleged victim added that he has undergone a medical check-up at the Ban Pong Hospital for pain in his ribs, face, and arms.
