Beirut, Lebanon - October 11, 2024

Israeli attacks had claimed 2,309 lives and injured 10,782 people in Lebanon since October of last year, said a statement released on Monday by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

The Israeli military said on Monday it had killed Muhammad Kamal Naim, commander of the anti-tank missile unit under Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, in an air strike in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon.

On the same day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that it had found an underground compound in southern Lebanon that served as a command center for the Radwan Forces, and a lot of combat facilities and equipment were discovered there.

At least 21 people had been killed and eight others injured in an Israeli air strike in Aitou, a predominantly Christian village in northern Lebanon that is far from Hezbollah's stronghold, the Lebanese health ministry said on Monday.

Meanwhile the conflict between Israeli and Hezbollah forces continues to unfold.

Sirens sounded in more than 180 communities in Tel Aviv, the capital city of Israel, and central Israel on Monday afternoon as Lebanon fired three projectiles towards densely populated areas in central Israel.

The Israeli military said that these projectiles had been intercepted, and Israeli warplanes had hit rocket launchers used in the attack.

On the same day, Hezbollah said that it had fired rockets at multiple gathering areas of the Israeli military at the temporary border area between Lebanon and Israel.

Hezbollah militants also clashed with an Israeli trying to advance towards the village of Aita al-Shaab on the southern border of Lebanon and forced the Israeli army to retreat.

The group said it had confronted an Israeli infantry unit attempting to infiltrate Markaba in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched attacks on three Merkava tanks of the Israeli forces in villages on the southern border of Lebanon, causing casualties of the Israeli military, the group said.
