Beach abrasion haunts dozens of residents of Pasie Nan Tigo, Padang City, West Sumatra Province
As many as fifty houses along Pasie Nan Tigo Beach, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra are overshadowed by the threat of coastal erosion which stretches for one kilometer. This abrasion has caused hundreds of pine trees on Pasie Nan Tigo beach, and three houses have even been swept away by the waves. Residents with the help of the local government on Wednesday afternoon installed sandbags around their houses to anticipate the threat of big waves.
